On the morning of Monday, 17 March 2025, the PROFITENCE team, led by Director Mr. Subhadeep Chowdhury, had the privilege of attending a courtesy call at the Peace Palace with H.E. Dr SOK Siphana, Senior Minister.

The discussions centered on the latest updates from the Trade Policy Advisory Board, with a strong focus on Cambodia’s evolving e-commerce landscape, particularly in light of our upcoming E-Commerce Report launch. Key topics included the de minimis threshold regulations, trade policy developments, and the broader efforts to revitalize Cambodia’s global narrative. Emphasis was placed on the importance of implementing robust policies to achieve the objectives outlined in the Pentagonal Strategy and Cambodia’s Vision 2050.

Additionally, discussions touched upon our latest work in drafting and implementing Cambodia’s first Digital Trade Policy under the Ministry of Commerce (Cambodia), outlining the necessity for a structured and reasonable approach to digital trade governance in the Kingdom.

H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana also shared exciting news on his latest endorsement by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to relaunch the Global Dialogue series, which will serve as a platform for high-level discussions on economic growth and policy formulation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana and his team for their warm welcome and the opportunity to engage in these forward-looking conversations.
